Nascar 2010 predictions

Since I'm in the itch for spring fishing and Nascar. Nascar comes first, in February.

Here are some predictions to make the chase this year:

This is not in order, but I don't predict Johnson to win the fifth championship in a row.

Junior will finish 14th to 19th somewhere.

Fog and more fog.

New puppy, not enough time to do this blog right

My family got a new puppy today from a animal care facility in Des Moines. Not my idea, but that is what we have. He is a mini pincher, black, and is fun. Cute, and good natured. Alexis and mommy love him to pieces.

Goals for 2009 and 2010

Well for 2010 I don't need new goals because I failed to accomplish most of my 2009 goals. I want to do better, but it is difficult. I want to be a better Christian, better father, and more dedicated and loving husband. Praise by to God that I have this chance.

After a long and crazy year for me, we should all rejoice in the Christ who came to save us, coming as a simple baby to remind us of His humanity and love for us. God bless your 2010.

Big snowstorm

This week we had 12" of snow followed by 40 MPH northwest winds. About 5-below zero last night and 10 above today. Drifts as tall as 6 feet here and there and along some large buildings over 12 feet I saw yesterday before. We'll have a white Christmas. Only six months until Summer.

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.


FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.



FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE


FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,

BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION .


FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.


FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH
WHO SINGS OFF KEY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN HEAR.



FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.


FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.



FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

AND I AM THANKFUL:
FOR THE crazy people I work with
BECAUSE they make work interesting and fun!

Looks Like Mark Martin will not win

The man who has finished second four times before looks to be going for his fifth second place finish in the Nascar Sprint Cup. Maybe next year, in his final shot.

Garage cleaned out

We got our garage cleaned out this past weekend and are very glad about it. Now if I can get the house repaired and weatherized, and then have more time to write useful blogs, we'd be set. God bless.
